Logbook of the bark Neva sailing from Greenport, N.Y., Capt. George L. Hand, Master, on whaling voyage from 1857-1859; book later used by Ettie C. Parsons of Amagansett, Long Island for poetry and copies of letters. Also, journal of the same voyage ending when bark and rigging were sold at auction in Honolulu. The journal continues in a new hand, on board the bark Midas of New Bedford, James Austin, Master, 1859-1860.
